1 Year Today

It's been a year, and it seems like a month. Since I've been moving the blog over to blogger, I've been looking at a lot of the old pictures, and reading some of the old posts. I still can't believe that we went to China and actually got her. This last year has been great. I can only hope that the next year will be as fun.

My priorities have definitely changed. I spend a lot less time programming, and more time trying to keep her happy, fed, and otherwise occupied. That's one of the reasons for moving the blog to something simple like blogger. I don't have to worry about it anymore. I'm not even sure that anyone reads this blog anymore, but we have the data moved so that we don't need to worry about losing it if I shut off the server in my basement.

New improved blog - bigger, better, fresher

First, I have to apologize for the blog not getting updated since last April. It was my fault, and Mary has wanted to make posts. We'd been hosting the site on a server in the basement, using a program called Dot Net Nuke, and it held true to its name. It nuked. We haven't been able to upload images or add or edit posts. Normally, I could fix a problem like this, but I prefer to spend that time with the 2 year old that inspired this blog. Anyway, that box in my basement is dying, and I thought it just makes a lot more sense to get this blog onto some real blogging software.

So here we are, on Blogger, and I have to say, I kind of like it. As of now, I've copied all of the galleries and content from the original blog, but I haven't done the comments. I think I'll slowly get those back in soon, but the main stuff is there.

We'll have new pictures, and posts very soon. I may even get a new gallery on here tonight.
